Today we’re showcasing author Michelle M. Pillow who writes Sci-fi, Fantasy and Paranormal Romance.
❓Why did you start writing?
From a young age, I was captivated by the power of storytelling. I was constantly lost in the worlds of my favorite books, which sparked my imagination and a deep love for the written word. Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice made me curious about historical context and world-building, and Anne Rice’s ability to blend romance, fantasy, and the supernatural inspired me to explore those elements in my writing. Eventually, that evolved into a desire to create my own stories. Writing allows me to transport readers to different worlds and explore a wide range of emotions. I can't think of a better career.
❓What are your favorite things outside of writing?
When I’m not writing, I love spending time with my family and my cat, Bunny, who’s also my writing manager. I am interested in social anthropology, traveling, and exploring new places, all of which help me create the worlds in my books. Watching movies is a great way to unwind when I need a break. It’s all about finding a balance between creativity and relaxation.
