We are a group of over 60 indie authors who decided to build our own stores and sell direct. Large retailers place all sorts of restrictions on authors including:

Exclusivity requirements to participate in their subscription programs
Paying authors an extremely low royalty for their ebooks if they’re read in those subscription programs
Stripping authors of royalties from those subscription programs if the retailer finds “fraudulent reads,” but giving the authors no explanation of what was fraudulent or allowing them to appeal or fight it
Closing authors’ account without notice if their ebook is found on a piracy site, even if the author was unaware of the piracy, and even if the ebook was downloaded from that very retailer’s site because of their poor security practices

At Buy Direct From Authors, we believe there is another way. Allowing readers to buy directly from us gives us control of our business without a billionaire-owned retailer involved. We can seamlessly deliver books and audiobooks to our readers through BookFunnel, and we can offer better deals because we don’t have to pay a royalty to retailers. Win-win!🎉
